Anhua Dark Tea

Anhua is thought to be the birthplace of Dark Tea (Hēi chá, 黑茶). Whether or not it is, the tea is unique in many ways. Even though it’s still quite unknown in the USA, it has been the focus of tea health studies for years. It’s still quite rare and little is understood about it by most North Americans. Compressed into bricks, baskets, and pillars, heicha ages really well into a warmer and an even more mellow tea. Warming, aromatic, and easy to steep, Anhua Heicha is a great tea for both the tea table and in a mug on your desk.
